Yosemite Valley is a magic place for me. I hiked up Yosemite Falls when I was about 10 years old and have always been moved by its majesty. I wanted to capture its noble spirit by paring it down to essentials. The traditional images of the falls show it as a double fall. Actually, as the vintage images below illustrate, it is a cascade of a number of small falls which aren't visible in the traditional views. |
