| This is an invented,
improvised image that grew into the familiar---a coastal cove near where
I live. I love to look at the quilts made by the women of
Gee's Bend, Alabama. They are so vibrant and alive.
I hope here to capture some of the qualities I enjoy in those masterful
quilts. |
