It's wonderful that many collectors of mine have become
my friends. I suppose part of these friendships have been the
result of shared interests and values. Paintings are much
more than elements of decor; they reflect the values of the painter and
of the collectors who acquire them. Therefore, it's natural
that these relationships can expand beyond a business interaction.
What's even more interesting is that many of my collectors are friends of other of my collectors without having known that they were independently interested in my work. It's shared values and shared vision that bring us all together. This couple began collecting my work in 1976 and have acquired 20 of my paintings over the years. They have become very dear friends and have expanded their appreciation as I have expanded my approach to my art. |
